Last winter，I had a great holiday. I went to Hainan with my family. When we got there, we lived in a big hotel near the beach. I liked to eat fish but my husband did’nt like to eat fish. He liked to eat chicken. My daughter and my little son liked to eat beef. So we ate a lot of food in a restaurant.I liked to have a picnic with my family best at the beach at night. We really enjoyed the picnic.We had a good time last winter.

Hello,everyone!My name is Bella,and I am from Guangning.Now let me tell you about my hometown,Guangning.

Guangning is a small but traditional city.The air is clean and people are friendly.There’s always beautiful scenery in Guangning.Spring is the best season to visit .Because it has a lot of bamboo at that time.If you go there, you can see many bamboos.Of course,you can eat bamboo shoots and take a bamboo raft.You can buy some bamboo handiwork as a souvenir. By the way ,you shouldn’t miss the Baoding Mountain.The view from the hill is very charming.

In a word，Guangning is a pretty interesting city.Welcome to my hometown.

My Favorite Festival

My favorite festival is Spring Festival. It’s on lunar January 1st.

I often take a vacation for fifteen days. So sometimes I go back hometown to see my parents.  Sometimes I travel with my family.

But for this coming Spring Festival, I’m going to travel by plane to Yunnan with my son, daughter and husband. We’re going to start from lunar January 3rd to January 7th.

I’m looking forward to this exciting journey.

Spring Festival is the most important festival in China. It’s the first day of the first lunar month.

In the morning, people usually get up very late. In the afternoon, people eat a lot of snacks and fruit, wear new clothes. Children can receive lucky money from their parents. In the evening, family members get together to eat a big dinner. In many places, people like to set off firecrackers. Also make wishes. So most people like the Spring Festival.

Why do we study English?

I thought about the question that why we study English for a long time. When I was at school, I learnt English just to pass the examinations. But nowadays, I learn English due to its importance in the world. Not only is it an international language, but also an international communication tool.

If you want to do business with foreigners, you have to use English, because most of the documents and information are written in English. English is generally used in meetings. Many famous books are first published in English versions. The more English you know, the more interesting foreign cultures you know from reading English-writing books.

But for me, studying English is all for my job. I want to get my job easier. In a word, I consider it important to learn English. We should keep on with studying it step by step.
